Born in Maine, Lisa has lived and studied in major metropolitan areas. In addition, she has explored the performing arts as dancer, musician and performance artist. Taking photographs has also been an important documentary and inspiriational part of her work. She spent a brief yet transformational time in Paris, and has been living and working in Portland, ME since 1985, with a house, studio and garden on Munjoy Hill in the East End.
Her work has been selected for publication in the 2002, 2004 and 2007 editions of Words & Images, a national compendium of literary and visual art. Her paintings and photographs were chosen in March of 2003 as part of a Group Show (The Musik Show) in Austin, TX, during the reknown South by South West Festival. She also received Special Recognition for her piece “Wings Over Water” in an Internationally Juried Show in Omaha, NE in the Spring of 2001. She has shown extensively in Portland galleries and venues and shown in the new world class Thomas Moser Gallery Showroom, Los Angeles, CA in 2008.
